Mya Beaudry is an Algonquin entrepreneur from Kitigan Zibi who founded her business — Kokom Scrunchies — at the age of 13. She shared this insight and other lessons at a recent convening of Indigenous entrepreneurs.


EleV Program Partner Université Laval, the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Economic Development Commission, and twenty young Indigenous entrepreneurs from across the region came together to connect, listen, and learn from each other. The event created space for Indigenous young people to share strategies for growing businesses aligned with their culture, values, and aspirations. 


Neil Pariseau, an Algonquin from Kebaowek First Nation and the Founder of Kwe Productions, also shared his approach to creating a thriving enterprise.


"Your business is in your heart," he said.
