“I feel confident in my studies. I feel confident in
my life. I feel I’ve got my life together.”
— Roddy Joseph, Student, Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies
EleV’s partnership with oẏateki is grounded in a shared commitment to supporting Indigenous youth on their path to post-secondary education, through education and training, and in their transition to meaningful livelihoods. Through culturally relevant programming, mentorship, and community connection, oẏateki creates space for students to build confidence, access opportunities, and pursue their goals.
The Ripple Effects video series brings these experiences to life, sharing the stories of students whose journeys reflect growth, resilience, and transformation. Each video offers a glimpse into how support systems, education, and culture come together to create lasting impact.
Together, these stories highlight how investing in Indigenous youth extends beyond individual success—creating ripple effects that uplift families, communities, and future generations.
Why It Matters:
Indigenous youth are building confidence, skills, and direction through culturally grounded support systems
Student success creates ripple effects that strengthen families and communities
Storytelling plays a key role in shifting narratives and highlighting Indigenous-led impact
